Origin Story
How SettleIQ Came to Be
SettleIQ started as a personal project. Marc Brown, a software developer, watched his father — personal injury attorney F. Keith Brown — spend hours each week doing the same repetitive work: reviewing stacks of medical records, manually calculating damages, and weighing the same settlement questions that every PI case eventually comes down to.
Keith's decades of experience meant he could evaluate a case from multiple angles simultaneously: what a mediator would say, how an insurance adjuster would price the risk, what the plaintiff's attorney would argue, how defense counsel would push back. Most attorneys spend years developing that kind of multi-perspective instinct. Marc wanted to make it accessible from day one.
The result is SettleIQ's AI persona system. Each persona — Mediator, Adjuster, Plaintiff, Defense, and more — reflects a real perspective that Keith encounters in every negotiation and mediation session. Instead of relying on a single AI opinion, attorneys can stress-test their case across every angle that matters, the way Keith does after three decades in ADR.
